About the Airport
Formerly called Dum Dum Airport, it is among the busiest ones in the country in terms of overall passenger traffic. The distance from the Howrah railway station is about 16 km away from Sealdah railway station is around 18 km. People can hire taxis or opt for bus services to reach here without any hassles. Even from state transport bus depots, reaching here is not an issue at all. The bus and taxi charges are quite reasonable, but pricing ever depends on the distance to be covered to reach here.
